Domain names are pretty essential. You won't get very far launching a Web site without one! This category of the site contains all the discussions related to domains, hosting sites, networking issues, and much more that have been published in the LED discussion list. It's interesting to watch how, as competition on the Web continues to rise amid ever more market crowding, the URL you choose can influence your site's success. More information: Here's a good primer on domain names from Wikipedia. Check out Domain Name Daily which is actually the old i-Domain discussion list from Adventive. It is now being hosted by Soflow; Keith Pieper is the moderator. For related information about the robots.txt protocol, see Martijn Koster's Web Robots Pages at robotstxt.org. And of course no reference list would be complete without ICANN and Internic. Are there other resources I should cite here? If so please let me know. Subjects here can have anywhere from a single post to well over 50 per topic. It just depends how popular that particular thread is.
