Adam, Don't change a thing! (Well, a bit!! see below.) Personally I think you've got it just right. There are many of us with a little knowledge in these areas that we use to help our clients. We are no threat to *serious* SE companies, and indeed will outsource to one of these as needed. On the other hand, I find the information gleaned from this forum invaluable in promoting the idea of *quality* web design and marketing when talking to prospective clients. I also feel that you have dealt the nail a just blow on the noggin when you say that many of these topics are so fluid that they demand regular revisiting. Apart from anything else, there is so much to know, we forget stuff! I think you may be exaggerating the lack of new topics, but that could largely be a case of differences in viewpoint coloured by experience and expertise. One thing I have noticed recently is the growing proportion of non-US origin posts - a good thing - not because of any anti-USA feeling, but because of a more globally balanced debate. May I request a way of labelling country of origin, if that is possible. Perhaps we could just encourage contributors to add this to their sig. Another great thing would be archives to search - though I imagine the work necessary for you would be unthinkable! My best regards Peter Benson |
