Any "gotchas"? - Shel Horowitz, LED Digest 2434 - http://www.led-digest.com/content/view/1839/190/ Shel, this may or may not work for you, but here's a plan I outlined for myself 2 years back, and works (sort of!) 1. Set up a blog. Post each ezine issue to it. If you have multiple articles per issue, each one could be a blog post. 2. Tie your blog to your Aweber account (it happens through the RSS feed import option) so each time you publish your blog, the post gets included in an email that goes out to the list, automatically every time, or once in 24 hours (a compiled post with all blogs during that period) 3. Include a link at the bottom of each blog post, inviting readers to visit the forum and talk about it. That promotes more interactivity. 4. Set the blog to publish by email. That way, instead of having to log in to the blog each time, I send out a post by email. Now, my ezine compilation involves: - writing the content - emailing it to my blog The emailed message gets published on the blog, distributed by RSS feed, goes through Aweber and gets sent to my list via email, and gets readers to post on the forum if they like. Hope this is of some use to you and others :) All success, Dr. Mani ... the Internet Infopreneur Get 7 free Infopreneur Special Reports - http://www.InternetInfopreneur.com/giveaway.htm Comment? -------- new post - new topic --------- From: Eva Rosenberg Subject: Ghost PPC > ... a campaign continues to show up in the sponsored results... > even though my bookkeeper swears that we are not being > charged any PPC fees and my campaign is still listed as inactive! - Scott West, LED Digest 2434 - http://www.led-digest.com/content/view/1839/190/ Hi Scott, Speaking of your bookkeeper, is it possible that you are using QuickBooks 2007 and have your products listed in your QB7 system with that description? The most current version of QuickBooks can be set up to feed into Google and Froogle. Some of the information is picked up at no charge. Could that be it? Best wishes, Eva Rosenberg, EA www.TaxMama.com - www.TaxQuips.com Comment? -------- new post - same topic --------- From: Ariel Ozick Subject: Ghost PPC There have been some exploits being sent recently via redirects in Google Adwords. See, for example: http://explabs.blogspot.com/2007/06/dangerous-searches_13.html and a video of a similar attack using the BBB name at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD0wdzQb8XY Without seeing the ad live I can't tell you exactly what the issue is, but I would suggest you run something like Linkscanner on it and see what comes up. Also double check to make sure your adwords account has not been compromised, and alert Google of the issue and the trademark you hold on your domain name. Let us know how it works out. The robin and the blue bird of happiness are singing. But not your site. It's not only not cooing sweetly, it's barely croaking. Words are the instruments you play to influence customers. Visit http://GetWebContent.com/LED. We'll tune your instruments and make 'em sing. ============ Sponsor Message =========== -------- new post - new topic --------- From: Jeremy Weiss Subject: Reach employers > I am starting an internet jobsite... All the SEO's > I talk to tell me they can reach the employees to > get to the site, but don't know a good way to reach > the employers to post their jobs on the site!! - Jeff St. Louis, LED Digest 2434 - http://www.led-digest.com/content/view/1839/190/ Jeff, I did a tad bit of keyword research and it appears that the reason the SEO guys are telling you they can't reach the employers is because the employers aren't searching. If they don't go to the search engines and search for something, all the SEO work in world isn't going to help. Again, I might be wrong since I didn't go in depth with this. Contact me off list and I'll show the numbers I'm seeing, but it seems that you'll need to find another way to market to this group of people other than just SEO. Sincerely, Jeremy Weiss Internet Consultant | Blue Phoenix Consulting, LLC Small Business Consulting and Internet Services http://www.BluePhoenixConsulting.com Comment? -------- new post - new topic --------- From: Scotty West Subject: Rankings drop Hi Ron, Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my site and post your observations. That's way beyond the call of duty and we do appreciate it. I just checked several of my links and they appear to be working OK. I don't know why they didn't for you. I know that our linking strategy needs a lot of work and we are preparing to really hunker down and address that. But I suppose my question still remains ... why did my rankings drop so suddenly when I haven't changed anything on the site? I'm still wondering if it's a Google algorithm change. Anybody? I would like to pose this next question to you and all other LEDers. Your observation about some of my text being in graphic form ... this is an idea I had a while back. Some SEO folks think it is good ... some bad. I'd love to get your opinions on this. It seems in order to get proper KEYWORD DENSITY, we sometimes sacrifice human eye readability. My thought was to create graphic text at the top of the page containing my best sales pitch ... just for humans to read. The html text further down the page is more for the spiders. This way I don't dilute my keyword position and density. I'm no expert and I'm fully prepared to give up this idea if enough folks think it is bad. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.
